These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Fierce Love LLC ("we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Mature Masculine website at maturemasculine.org (the "Website") and the Circles application (the "App"). The Website and the App are referred to together as the "Services."

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that:

  • You are 16 or older.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You are not barred from using the Services under the laws of your jurisdiction.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization (a men's group, a coaching practice, a church, etc.), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your account

To use most features of the App, you'll need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information.
  • Keep your password confidential and not share it.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • Be responsible for everything that happens under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that put other users or the Services at risk.

3. What the Services are — and what they are not

The Mature Masculine is a body of work — a deck, a book, an online guide, and the Circles app — focused on masculine archetypes, virtues, shadow integration, and personal development. The Services are intended for education, reflection, and peer support.

The Services are not a substitute for:

  • Professional medical care
  • Mental health treatment, counseling, or therapy
  • Crisis intervention or suicide prevention
  • Legal, financial, or tax advice
  • Spiritual direction from a qualified clergy member

Nothing in the Services constitutes medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental‑health emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights.
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, dox, or bully another person.
  • Post content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to incite violence.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Share content that contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract content using automated means without our written permission.
  • Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Services, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use the Services to develop a competing product or to train machine‑learning models.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Services, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or probe for vulnerabilities (other than through any responsible‑disclosure program we publish).
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our written permission.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion when these rules are broken.

5. Circles: community rules

Circles are small‑group spaces for men's reflection and accountability. The norms below apply in addition to Section 4:

  • Confidentiality. What is shared in a Circle should stay in the Circle. Do not screenshot, repost, or quote other members outside the Circle without their explicit permission.
  • Consent. Don't share information about other people (partners, family, coworkers) that they would not want shared.
  • No coaching, no diagnosing. Members are peers, not licensed practitioners. Don't offer medical, psychiatric, or legal opinions as if they were professional advice.
  • Direct, not cruel. Strong honesty is welcome. Contempt, mockery, and personal attacks are not.
  • No recruiting. Don't use Circles to sell products, push MLM schemes, recruit for political movements, or proselytize for religious or ideological causes.
  • Safety first. If someone in your Circle indicates they're a danger to themselves or others, encourage them to contact emergency services and notify a moderator.
  • Moderators have authority. Circle moderators may remove posts, mute members, or escalate issues to us. Their decisions within their Circles are final unless overruled by us.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from any Circle at any time, with or without notice, when these norms are violated.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create and post in the Services ("Your Content"). However, by posting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit Your Content solely as needed to operate, provide, and improve the Services — for example, to show your message to other members of a Circle, to back it up, or to deliver it across your devices.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own Your Content or have the rights necessary to grant the license above.
  • Your Content does not violate the rights of any third party or any applicable law.
  • Your Content does not violate Section 4 (Acceptable Use) or Section 5 (Circles).

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not use it to train machine‑learning models.

7. Our content

The Services contain text, images, illustrations, audio, video, designs, logos, layouts, the deck card system, archetype frameworks, and other materials owned by Fierce Love LLC or licensed to us ("Our Content"). Our Content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual‑property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to access and use Our Content for your own personal, non‑commercial use through the Services. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display Our Content outside the Services.
  • Create derivative works based on Our Content.
  • Use Our Content to train machine‑learning models.
  • Remove copyright or trademark notices.
  • Use Our Content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

If you'd like to use Our Content in a class, retreat, podcast, or publication, contact us — we're often happy to grant permission.

8. Purchases

Some products (the deck, the book, the box set, etc.) may be available for purchase through the Website or the App. By placing an order:

  • You agree to provide accurate billing and shipping information.
  • You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the applicable amount, including any taxes and shipping.
  • Refunds, returns, and shipping are governed by the policies displayed at checkout.

Prices are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for typographical errors in pricing or product descriptions and reserve the right to cancel any order with an obvious error.

9. Subscriptions (if offered)

If we offer paid subscriptions for the App, the following applies:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled.
  • You can cancel at any time through your account settings or, for App Store / Play Store subscriptions, through the relevant store.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
  • We may change subscription prices on notice; price changes apply at your next renewal.

10. Third‑party services

The Services may link to or integrate with third‑party websites and services (payment processors, authentication providers, analytics, app stores). We are not responsible for those third parties or their terms. Your use of them is governed by their own agreements.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIERCE LOVE LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON‑INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error‑free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant that any content (including content posted by other users in Circles) is accurate, complete, or reliable.

The Services are educational and reflective in nature. They are not medical or mental‑health care. Your use of the Services is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL FIERCE LOVE LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fierce Love LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of another.

14. Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time and delete your account through the in‑App settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Services.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — will survive.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Fierce Love LLC is organized, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that State, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Where applicable law permits, you and we waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) and/or by posting a prominent notice on the Website and in the App before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
